Summer Drink - The Bay Breeze
Summer 2019 has been one of the hottest on record here in our home state of New Jersey. Serious drinks like Scotch Whiskey and Negronis are all well and good, but for the summer, we recommend light and sweet cocktails like the Malibu Bay Breeze (rum-based) and the Bay Breeze (vodka-based). The ladies in particular will thank you for serving this tropical cocktail!
The key ingredients of a Malibu Bay Breeze are:
Malibu rum (1.5 oz) (or substitute with a stronger coconut based rum)
Pineapple Juice (2.0 oz), and
Cranberry Juice (2.0 oz)
Your favorite tropical garnish
The key ingredients of a Bay Breeze are:
Vodka (1.5 oz) (we like Ketel One)
Pineapple Juice (2.0 oz)
Cranberry Juice (2.0 oz)
Your favorite tropical garnish
For either variation, fill a chilled glass with ice cubes. Poor in the rum/vodka, then the pineapple juice, then the cranberry juice. Garnish as you wish. Cheers!
